Otra canción de Queens of the Stone Age, una banda a la que he desempolvado y estoy en mi época de fanático de nuevo...
La traducción del título sería:
"Primero dió", es un inglés muy antiguo y en desuso ("giveth", "taketh"), creo que la frase viene de la biblia...
En fin, no ando muy inspirado para redactar, mejor echarle un vistazo al video, con la letruzca a mano y prestar atención al estribillo que tiene un parte de mucha bata de la buena (algunos lo hacen con doble pedal, otros no...)

luego de escuchar el temete, no se pierdan el cover de batería del tema que dos pibes subieron a YouTube. El primero le da sin doble pedal a una velocidad envidiable y el segundo le da al doble pedal que da miedo...otra forma de analizar un temita, desde mi punto de vista más que humilde e ignorante...que les aPTzca...

No One Knows

Simple. Una de las mejores bandas de la historia. Si no escuchaste "Songs for the Deaf" con todo respeto a tu persona, no escuchaste NADA. En ese disco, el baterista invitado es ni más ni menos que Dave Grohl asi que imaginate. Es imposible elegir el mejor tema de esta banda pero de seguro que éste es un símbolo y el video está muy bueno...recomiendo ampliamente bajar (o comprar si te sobra la plata) los discos "Songs for the Deaf" y "Lullabies to Paralyze".

Hocus Pocus

Este un tema instrumental de una banda muy loca holandesa de los 70 llamada "Focus". Dice la Whiskypedia que la banda sigue hasta estos días activa...habría que escuchar que andan haciendo...en fin...

El temita es muy limado y emocionante y les recomiendo ver el video para ver que onda los locos pero que después escuchen la versión del album que también les dejo, porque suena mucho mejor.

Este tema es mortal y es ideal para cuando necesitás levantar el ánimo y no encontrás la forma adecuada de lograr eso...

Swallowed

En un momento especial para el ya casi EX-presidente de EEUU, propongo degustar esta bella pieza sonora intitulada: "Swallowed". El cantante es el marido de Gwen Stefani la de "No Doubt"...

La banda toma su nombre de la zona de Londres en la que solían vivir: Shepherd's Bush (yo estuve ahí!!!). Les recomiendo ampliamente esta banda, es muy buena...tiene una onda Nirvana, sobre todo la voz de Gavin Rossdale, el cantante. Se separaron en 2002...

No va a ser la última vez que postee en este blog un tema de ellos...alta banda como la gran mayoría de las bandas buenas de la historia del rock, británicas: The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Queen y seguiría...pero mejor los dejo escuchar y ver el video de este temazo...

Do the evolution

Siguiendo con los videos que más me gustan (porque son geniales y van de la mano con una canción también igual de impresionante...) en esta entrega de "Píter Peteli y sus Videos", vamos a presentar un tema de la banda (grunge?, es grunge en serio??) de Seattle, "Pearl Jam": "Do the evolution".
Este tema aparece en su discazo "Yield" del año 1998, que tiene como peculiaridad que es el último disco de la historia en ser publicado en formato cassette en EEUU.

Esta banda, si bien algo complaciente con el capital a diferencia de Nirvana, suele pegarle duro a algunas cosas relacionadas con el capitalismo salvaje, o cómo los capitalistas les gusta decirle: la globalización (movida por la cual EEUU hace que el mundo funcione como funcionan ellos así nos pueden vender todas sus mierdas).

Éste es un ejemplo de palo a la "globalización", comúnmente confundida con "evolución".

El tema de hoy es un clásico de los temas depresivos y a su vez violentos. Para mi gusto es el mejor tema de Radiohead (es aún más emocionante que Creep creo yo)

Los gustos adquiridos funcionan así:
la primera vez uno dice "- puaj!" pero después encuentra la belleza en algo que no parecía perfecto a primera vista y termina idolatrando a ese objeto. Esto pasa con el vino, la cerveza....y con este tema...

El video de este tema es probablemente uno de los mejores que he visto en mi vida y acompaña perfectamente a su espíritu depresivo:
